The Point Molate Alliance was founded to call on Richmond city leadership to respect the will of the people and to protect and restore Point Molate for everyone.

From the very beginning, the potential of Point Molate has attracted groups with divergent ideas. While some looked at Point Molate and saw dollar signs in the form of a casino or a dense, upscale housing development, parkland advocates saw a gem of a public park for the City of Richmond and the region. It has been a long haul, and it’s not over yet. This is a remarkable campaign by community members who simply refuse to give up.
